Participating with Purpose #1

Life presents us with so many competing demands that any thought toward a larger purpose gets lost in a storm of “but how”. Our days are consumed by chores: taking care of our body, our family, our job, and our possessions. We talk to people without really connecting and remaining spare time often dissipates into our favored distractions.

The meaning of any act no matter how small is derived from having a purpose. But we tend to lose touch with the purpose of what we do. We often fall into the routine of details, not relating to how the job serves society. We respond to the needs of the moment or the day, letting the opportunities of our life just slip away.

A spiritual path though aligns us with the great purpose of the universe.

Although we remain only dimly aware of that purpose, something tells us that when we practice being present, do our prayer/meditation, practice compassion and actively seek wisdom, we simultaneously serve both our own purpose and a greater purpose. The truth of purpose goes even further; one could say that the Creator is the purpose, a profound mountain of purpose behind the cosmos, a purpose that creates and sustains the universe and us. Through our spiritual practice, our creative work, our acts of love, kindness, peace, and responsibility, we participate directly in that great purpose of The Divine Living Presence.

Are we connected to our purpose while standing in line at the checkout? We need to feed our family, be kind to others and be fully present with people, so I guess the answer is yes. Living with intention connects us with a greater intention; the Divine Living Presence intention, which is where we find meaning, this includes the meaning of each moment of our life. Participating with purpose brings about a confidence that what you do matters, that your inner work matters beyond yourself. Participating with purpose brings with it a happy and meaningful life.

Synergy is the nature of Divine Creation

The Nature Of Divine Creation is what Social and Spiritual synergy are made from…

Our ability to know the Divine Presence, brings with it our ability to be like Divine Presence.

There is and will always be challenges with such awareness, which are divinely necessary for the growth of human beings.

Young of heart, young of mind, and young of spirit. This is the way, the wonder and the will of the way-shower. For in the nature of being “young” there is always the new.

The nature of Divine Presence is forever young by growing new intelligence. The nature of Creation is in all of us — for we are all created from that nature.

We were once a light particle of Divine Presence, we are the Divine’s intention in motion. And we will be forever in the flow of creation because we have been born from the Light and nature of Divine Presence and Uncondional Love.

As human beings, we can only express a small piece of this majesty – but we are still a paradox of finite and infinite experiences. The duration of one’s life is indeed a snapshot of the nature of this brilliance and the practice and experience of synergy is indeed the evidence.

We are a complex, collaborative display of creation that has the ability to co-create with the Divine. The nature of the Divine Presence is always emerging, creative and inclusive. And when we are able to find that formula with-in us and with others, we connect to our true nature, which is the nature of the Divine – We can be and are Social and Spiritual Synergy in action.

We are literally lighting the way from every portal of our Beingness.

Gateways

All the Light Centres in the Living Attributes Typology in The Pathway Of Devotion (down the centre) are Gateways.

November

CYAN is the GATEWAY in the Celestial Realm, which is the POINT of POWER for the Higher Purpose. This realm is home to your Gift to Humanity (YOUR BESTOWAL)

August

PINK is the GATEWAY in the Spiritual Realm – POINT of POWER for the Higher Heart. This realm is home to your Creative Gifts (YOUR SPIRIT)

May

BLUE is the GATEWAY in the Emotional Realm – POINT of POWER for True Emotion. This realm is the home of your Personal Message to the World. (YOUR VOICE)

January

RED is the GATEWAY in the Physical Realm – POINT of POWER of the Formative Self. This realm is the home of your Personal Presence in the World. (YOUR FOUNDATION)

So what does that mean for all the other light centres in the system?

All light centres are portals to a particular light stream, but the central pillar, which is called the pathway of Devotion and known as Gateways.

Of course, not everybody has their personal archetypes in Devotion – so for example, if your archetype in the Emotional realm is the Visionary,  you would still be ‘correcting & transforming’ your shadow nature, which would be strengthening your Personal Message to the World. You still have the experience of moving through the gate-way of  True Emotion, but of course, it will be a different experience than someone who has their archetype in that particular gateway. It’s not better or worst, but rather just different.

As we move through these devotional gateways year after year, there is often a particular intensity about the experience. Reason being we need to ‘correct and transform’ our shadow nature before moving through to our next level. Every year we get to experience our archetypes at a deeper level and with this deeper connection we receive a little more of our Radiance.

Surround Yourself with Goodness

Nature and evolution are always leading us toward a perfect state.

Up until this point we have advanced by compulsion. From this point forward, we can advance only by adding our understanding of how we develop.

Now we can sweeten and speed up our development through our environment. It has been proven that adults and children develop enormously with help from their environment.

Groups like Alcoholics Anonymous, Animal Rights activists, and even Weight Loss programs are all based on the communities influence.

We all need to participate in the same way.

By developing good community we become children of the larger family, and in addition, we then create a similar framework for our children. Ultimately, humanity needs to only be concerned with one thing; creating good environments.

Any parent would be glad to bring a child into a warm, friendly environment, where children are being taught to unite. This unity provides them with a sense of confidence and rids them of fear of poverty, suffering, pride, and other problems inherent in human nature.

It’s nothing out of the ordinary; simply provide a good environment, which is a “gentle place” for development.

Such an environment allows a person to open up and to better perceive and take things in because they are not feeling constantly on the defensive in a hostile environment. As adults, we often don’t understand what it means to be in an abundant environment. Whereas a newborn baby in the arms of our mother we felt nothing except her embrace.

This sensation gives us the strength to develop.

We lack this sensation and that’s why we’re facing a global crisis. In all areas where we previously were successful, we now find ourselves at a dead-end.

The crisis can, on one hand, can be a catastrophe and on the other hand a rebirth. The word “crisis” comes from the Greek word “krisis”, and means a new beginning. However, we use it incorrectly. Also, the word “crisis” in Hebrew means a place where new life emerges. The word “Christ-ness” has been popping into my consciousness of late, they sort of sound and mean the same… interesting.

Let’s remember that it is our environment and our community that makes us happy or not. A truly abundant environment will simply make our lives happy.

Let’s give thanks to the environment that creates an abundant community for us all. When we feel confident we have unity with others, our world feels safe and we feel the impulse to be generous with our gifts. We feel taken care of and want to take care of others. We then recognize we live in a world imbued with warmth, confidence, and kindness.

Our world becomes unified by the Light of Love and Glory.

Why I use the concepts of icons and archetypes?

Firstly what are Archetypes – they are a universal and symbolic representation that teaches us about life and ourselves. Archetypes are the architects of story and life. There are literally hundreds of archetypes that have been our teachers through the medium of story telling for centuries. They live in the realm of fairy tales, mythology, theatre and now film. So through the process of an individual telling their personal story they are able to recognise their personal archetypes.

While an Icon – An icon is often an individual who has lived or is living out a very public archetypical journey, they are recognizable by their fame or celebrity and often have become immortalized by their charismatic nature. The public usually become somewhat fascinated with their lives or beauty simply because they are to some degree playing out the roles of demigods, teaching us about light and shadow attributes from a far, but not so far.

My discovery of why we do this kind of seeking and obtaining;

  • Perhaps we are instinctively attempting to pull away from our parents. And in doing so we often connect strongly to a particular public figure, who’s either in music, film, fashion, sport, television or literature. We may do it in a creative and somewhat expressive manner, like identifying with their music, their dress and their culture.
  • Perhaps it is simply for the purpose of developing a new identity outside ones current family unit.
  • Perhaps we do it because some where deep within our nature we know there is something about our chosen iconic figure that is just like us.
  • Perhaps what we are really doing is looking for an alterative tribe, a new leader, a mentor, a role model who has similar values to our own and who isn’t going to tell us to do our homework or clean our room.

At this point I would like to add who my iconic influence was as a teenager… DAVID BOWIE!!… and also because it’s a year since he left our world, it still makes my heart weep to know this amazing artist has left us, along with others such as Prince, Carrie Fisher and Alan Rickman and thats only to name a few.

Simply put we are intuitively looking for someone else to look up to, other than Mum and Dad.

For me BOWIE was perfect, he was a risk taker, a change agent, a true creative creature, a fashion icon and an absolute artist at heart… My spirit recognized him, because after all I also longed for all those things!!! So much so that I cut and coloured my hair like his, did my make up like his and even created costumes for others to wear similar to his, which were all influenced by his creative, flamboyant, androgynous, but very stylish appearance and progressive music.

Amazing how life shows up for us… I found a quote by Bowie just recently and of course it is very similar to what I now believe as an adult.

David Bowie

  • I’m just an individual who doesn’t feel that I need to have somebody qualify my work in any particular way. I’m working for me.

Elizabeth Ellames

  • Who am I? I am all that is, all that was and all that is yet to come… And my responsiblity to you is to be me.

For some of us we need to connect to something or someone outside our family to feel like we belong, I know that’s how it was for me. I had faced many challenges as a child all connected to abuse, so I am indeed extremely grateful for the creative influence that David Bowie provided, he became my Angel Prince from a far away Star Kingdom, who gave me my precious and most beloved gifts of CREATIVITY and HOPE.

I now known how important it is to be authentic when sharing your gifts, reason being, you never know who may be watching and truly counting on catching a little of your spectacular light that could grow into something greater within themselves some day.

Bravo Bowie, for it was you, who saved me from the shackles of convention and compromise.

Here are a few examples of other famous icons – Ghandi, Joan of Arc, Ned Kelly, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana. All these iconic figures have been major influences for many people, some even influenced nations.

Can you recall any of your most loved or admired ICONIC figures of present day, resent history or even ancient history?

Authentic Archetypes & Adopted Archetypes

The Living Attributes© system is a body of work that has many components. But its fundamental foundations are its configuration of a persons four main archetypes, which are referred to as Cornerstones. Each Cornerstone along with its traditional archetypes also has a set of affiliated support, such as light and shadow attributes, animal wisdom, ancestors and angels. This affiliated support is there to strengthen and give substance to your archetypical patterning. Once identified and established this light-filled system gives you an effective tool that aids you on your path of personal and spiritual development.

Before you are able to fully embrace your four cornerstone archetypes, you may have to let go of some adopted archetypes. You adopted these specific archetypes for reasons that are attached to your past. These adopted archetypes have devotedly been protecting a particular part of you that you haven’t been ready to consciously reveal. These adopted archetypes play out particular behaviors in your life and eventually become what appear to be destructive, negative or helpless scenarios. What is really occurring is that your adopted archetype are insistently letting you know it is time for completion and integration; making way for your authentic archetypes.

The insightful process of releasing your past through the acknowledgement of adopted archetypes, aids in your personal evolution and gracefully helps you wake up to a new and deeper reality. This valuable discovery invokes the feelings and thoughts such as; “there must be something more to my life than this”? This type of reflective inquiry is when you begin the powerful journey into your authentic self, and it is your adopted archetypes that actually led you to this inquiry. Their function is to invoke and awaken in you your four authentic archetypes, which ultimately make up the perfect configuration of your highest and most sacred archetype, which is your worldly archetype; your Avatar.

The key factor in the discovery of your adopted archetypes is not to make them wrong. After all they have been doing their best to keep you somewhat safe, until you can confidently go deeper into your self-development and claim your authentic archetypes, which are appropriate to this life-time.

So I encourage you to view your life as a story line, one that has different chapters and characters, which all add to creating an interesting and exciting story; your larger story. It is very important to see the significance of each chapter and character… and why they were a crucial part in the narrative development of your own personal story. It is only then that you begin to live your life from a conscious viewpoint, eager to live your life fully and never wanting to miss a moment of this incredible story you are co-creating and sharing with the world.
