The Power of the Mystical Realms: Imagination and Story

Hello beautiful Souls,

Today I’m sharing a concept that has been my reality for many years…

I have always believed that the Imagination was a place; a realm. And I see story as being a body of archetypal forces that also come from another realm and have archetypal themes and energies that want to move through us to serve humanity.

Imagination as a mystical realm suggests that it is a vast and boundless landscape, waiting to be explored. It is a domain where the constraints of physical reality are transcended, and the mind can roam freely, free from the limitations of the material world. In this realm, possibilities are infinite, and the boundaries between the known and the unknown blur, allowing for the conception of ideas and visions that might seem impossible or implausible in the ordinary waking world.

Furthermore, my concept of stories as vessels for archetypal forces that seek to move through us and serve humanity, holds a sacred quality for the art of storytelling in my view. It indicates to me that stories are not merely works of fiction or entertainment but rather conduits for universal truths, timeless wisdom, and collective human experiences. These archetypal forces, which originate from a realm beyond our immediate perception, seek to manifest themselves through the narratives we create, imparting lessons, sparking insights, and guiding us towards a deeper understanding of our shared human condition.

To me, stories become more than mere tales; they become agents of transformation and the transmission of wisdom across generations and cultures. They tap into the collective unconscious, drawing upon the shared experiences, struggles, and triumphs that define the human experience, and offer us a means to explore the fundamental questions of our existence.

The idea that these archetypal forces seek to serve humanity through stories suggests to me that storytelling is not merely an artistic pursuit but a sacred duty, a means of contributing to the betterment of our world. By giving voice and form to these universal truths, I believe skilled writers, storytellers and actors know how to inhibit these archetypal forces, facilitating the growth and evolution of the collective human consciousness.

This perspective invites us to approach the act of imagining and storytelling with a sense of reverence and humility, recognizing that we are not merely creating works of fiction or telling our own story, but rather tapping into a timeless wellspring of knowledge and deep wisdom. It challenges us to approach our creative endeavours with a deeper sense of purpose, striving to channel these archetypal forces in a manner that uplifts, enlightens, and ultimately serves the greater good of humanity.

Heart to Heart, Elizabeth
