There’s a pull, isn’t there? A magnetic force that lures you toward the abyss, whispering, “Look at this. Look at the chaos. Look at all that is broken.” And so, you glance at it—you acknowledge the world’s shadows, the injustices, the suffering. But if you stare too long, it will consume you. It will drag you into its black hole, and before you know it, you become a part of it. Lost in its weight. Stagnant. Diminished.
But you are not here to drown in the darkness.
Your role in these times is to be creative—to be a force of luminosity in the world. The darkness does not need your obsession; it needs your light. Your gifts, your story, your wisdom. When you pour your energy into what you are creating, rather than what is collapsing, you become a beacon. A living reminder that even in the most shadowed corners, there is beauty, there is resilience, there is hope.
So, what are you offering to the world?
Are you letting your essence speak through your art, your voice, your actions? Or are you spending your days tangled in the latest disaster or political conflict, endlessly absorbing the negativity, unconsciously feeding it with your focus?
The way forward is not through staring at the problem. It’s through becoming the solution. And the solution is you—your light, your essence, your courage to create and share what is true to you.
Your presence is a contribution. Your joy is an offering. Your creativity is an act of service. When you choose to focus on what you can bring to the world instead of what is wrong with it, you shift everything. You change the field of energy around you. And in doing so, you remind others of their own inner radiance.
So yes, look at the darkness. Be aware. But don’t let it consume you. Let it fuel your fire instead. Focus on your light. That’s what the world truly needs.
Heart to Heart, Elizabeth
